-
We dug in the Powder Park-I area shortly after having a very large woomph. 12/09 facet burial interface was the culprit. HS 140cm. 9000,' 25 degrees, N.

At this elevation/location the lower snowpack is still very weak but the gradient has moderated and the facets are rounding... at least here. The 10cm span around weak layer interface was a 0.5 deg C change.

The Surface slab is getting stiffer by the day and avalanche will become less frequent... but all you have to do is find the right spot(trigger point on the slab) and youve got a very well connected avalanche!
