Quick report
Drove up the Pass at 1230 to assess the clear, calm weather and how it was impacting the snowpack. No new avalanches were observed. Snow surfaces were moist and I was able to posthole up to the top of my xtratuffs at Fishhook lot. Moto trails are showing intermittent veg and below 2500, snow coverage is patchy and remaining snow is isothermic. North facing terrain is holding snow. Saw parties up tracking existing tracks on 4068. A few hand pits in shady gully walls revealed stout, old wind/crusts over large, well developed facets. The bottom of the snowpack in these areas around 3,000 was mostly moist facets.
