Decent amount of heavy wet new snow. Plenty of widespread, recent avalanche, activity. We stopped to do an avalanche pit on a north northwest aspect at 3700 feet. Extended column test showed cracking and propagation at 16 and full failure at 17. Multiple weak layers every 4 to 6 inches from the top to the ground.despite being a relatively right set up snowpack  Total no depth was about 110cm
