Broken Skies Moderate W winds on ridgelines, Moderate to strong E winds within Cirque 24 F NO Precip during tour, but low elevation snow started around 16:00 at 8,000' Active Riming

Snowpack

F hard snow surface during western approach and eastern descent. Southern aspects below 11,500' had non-supportable MFcr on surface by afternoon. Cracking was present during test slopes and above skin tracks and when nearing loaded aspects beside trees, boulders and steep convexities from above and below. Cracks wee resistant, 20-30 cm in depth and moved only a few cm's. HS ranged from 60-280 cm on East aspect below saddle.
