Quick report
- Cracking
- specific
Although it had snowed to Pickle Meadows overnight, when we arrived in the morning it was raining. Rain line appeared to be around 7200ft both in the morning and at the end of the day.
Riding quality improved significantly above 8500ft, where there was 8" of new snow on top of the recent rain crust. Above 9000ft I began to notice short cracking in front of my sled. Mitt pits and a shovel tilt showed this to be occurring at the new snow/crust interface. It will be worth monitoring this interface in the near future.
