- <p>Density inversions in the new snow left a very poor structure during the storm today and was quite reactive with widespread cracking and the ability to remotely trigger slides observed. The winds which increased during the afternoon stiffened and thickened slabs even further.</p>
Two density inversions were apparent within the new snow; one down about 5'', the other 12'' just above the old snow interface (at 130pm).
