Test pit at tree line in Parker Ridge verified the deep persistent slab attributed to the November rain crust. More recent storm slabs were identified but appeared to be consolidating well. Notable wind loading in the tree line provided significant cover over the November slab, so terrain was selected to avoid a thinner snow packs that would stress the rain crust, and avoided terrain that could have smaller natural or skier triggered avalanches that could step down to the November rain crust. Increasing elevation resulted in a thinner snow pack and more wind crusts. There was little benefit to skiing higher elevations with the snow condition and increased risk. No nearby avalanche activity was noticed.
