Snowpack analysis on NW slope

CT in a clearing among some trees, ~30deg slope. Observed a sudden planar shear 105 cm down, presumably on the mid Feb PWL. Result happened after 28 taps (8 from shoulder). Snowpack above the PWL seemed mostly right side up (even transition from fist to 4 finger to finger) and no other notable breaks were observed during the test.
