Quick Observation
Had a good day trying to get some vitamin D in the pass. This seemed like a overall trend for most of the population in BC and Alberta because the parking lots and slopes were packed with people. We had surprisingly good conditions in Niccy’s Notch and North Bowl today. Lots of tracks but still skied quite well with even some sneaky powder hiding among the mix. Significant SH and facets growing BTL and TL. The skin track up to Cheops W ridge had some spots where it could use more snow but overall a solid track put in. The ski out is well…probably the most hazardous of the whole ski day. Lots of rocks are exposed and continue to be exposed with significant traffic pushing snow off the summer trail. This season feels a lot like the start of last season with less snow.
