Quick Observation
We toured up to troubleshoot the Summit WX before crossing the valley to ski the trees on the south side of Fraser ridge. With upwards of 30 cm of new snow this week and predominant south winds, north-facing lee slopes are definitely holding more snow, on average around 100 cm at tree line which appears well bonded. South slopes are thinner having been hit by the wind. Ski quality is good but there are thinly veiled rocks, stumps, and other hazards to be aware of; we didn't hit any, but easily could have! More snow is in the forecast for the weekend which likely improve tree line conditions.
