Went into Canyon Creek and had a good time in a sheltered gully but it was very crusty on sun and wind exposed areas around it. Crampons are strongly recommended when skinning up through exposed sections. Very hard crust that doesn't break. Went up and over onto Molars with great snow despite a few tracks in the shute. Only a brief section of noticeable crust in the choke point but all in all a great time.
Some wind on ridge top but not much anywhere else. Not too cold but still a few degrees under 0. Lots of old debris on steep west and sun exposed terrain but everything a few days old and no active instabilities to report.
The ski out of Molars is getting faster and rougher with the bridge and creek crossing closest to Raceplace being very sporty at the end of a day out.
