Great tour around Surprise Pass. Three lines and only two other people all day! Still waiting for that refresh, but, more importantly, the snow was supportive and safe.
First line: South Side of Fairview Mountain. A few quick turns on a sunny bowl. The top was pretty wind-blasted, but made for some decent powder as you got further away from the col.
Second line: Surprise Pass. Yes its skied out, and yes its essentially dust-on-crust all the way down, but still better than anything you're getting at a resort!
Third line (main objective for the day): Dogleg Couloir, N/NW Facing. Steep, tight(ish), and as much powder as we could hope for in this drought. Lots of sluff management required (and sugary snow on the bootpack up), but it made for an interesting finish to a classic tour.
