FHR attempt. There was a party that passed and was ahead of us that presumely did the entire traverse because we didn't see them come down the French drainage. The snow was incredibly wind-affected/icy, bordering on bulletproof-ice when we gained into the alpine. There were also large wind-scoured sections, and there were lose rocks on the snow as well. The weather deteriorated from sunny blue skies to stormy as we approached the French col so we decided to turn around. The ski down was miserable.
