Overcast (8/8) morning Scattered clouds (3/8) afternoon No wind all day.

NE aspect, 2200m, 0deg slope HS 145cm. First 35cm fresh/DF Next 25cm P-hard slab Next 35cm 1F-hard. Consolidated, felt wet & heavy during shoveling. Not much faceting Did not dig deeper. --- N aspect, 2300m, 45deg First 20cm fresh. Next 60cm hard slab. Did shovel shear tests on 2 columns in this layer. Shovel tip held 25 & 50cm from top. Both were STN. I also levered the shovel and confirmed that the piece which broke off stayed together. Nice bonding all around. Did not dig deeper.
