Chickadee Valley: a number of groups out, some guided. Good skiing conditions. Approx 10cm new snow but skied like more. Many sloughs observed off Mt Whymper, Boom Mountain, and throughout the valley. Snow pack stable and non reactive, aligned with the Avalanche Bulletin. Some crust under the new snow on Mt Whymper NW chutes; non-reactive.
Lots of sloughing at Size 1 classic, many smaller, and a few approaching larger. All from high, steep slopes / cliffs and naturally induced
Calm. Rising temperatures during the day and then falling. Some snow continued throughout the day. Mix of sunny and then clouds. Wonderful day to be outside.
New, powder snow without any slab formation on top of crust (breakable) but non-slab and non-reactive. Interesting. No propagation, sliding, or reaction.
