Skied open trees at Boundary Lake today. Weather was warm (-6 when we left the car at 10am) and low winds throughout the day with mix of sun and clouds . Dug a pit at 2200m NW aspect, slope angle 26˚: - HS = 75cm - Layers: - 20cm of recent storm snow on top of crust. - Weak faceted layer noted 25cm down - Another crust 45cm down - Approximately 20cm of basal facets present. - Performed a CT and noted a sudden collapse on 14th tap on the 25cm faceted layer. Experienced no instabilities while skiing. Noticed potential debris from small avalanche across the valley on SE aspect.
