The temperature was -1 at the brake check this morning and about +5 when we returned. The sun had quite the punch while it was out. The cold storm snow stayed low density in the shade but become very sticky when exposed to sun, certainly a day for skin wax. We saw a few point releases triggered by the warming which looked wet.
Surprisingly the snow in the Iago north bowl stayed excellent quality despite the sun exposure and sloppy quality of snow on other aspects.
There was little to no wind at the summit, but the wind effect from the previous storm was apparent on the east aspect of Great Bear Peak. We did not experience any signs of instability dropping into the bowl.
