We saw several cornice falls from alpine ridge lines, on north and east facing slopes today. We also saw lots of the natural avalanches that happened a week ago when temperatures got really warm. There is a widespread, thick crust on the surface almost everywhere from the continued warm temperatures and sunshine.
In a few spots on higher, north facing slopes we found snow without the crust that was actually good riding.
It was cloudy with a moderate southeast wind which stopped the surface from softening today.
