<p>Got some great turns in today in 30cm of soft dry powder with the sound of feller bunchers cutting trees in the background. There's a reactive layer of preserved stellar snowflakes down 25cm that produced results in our snowpack tests (CTM 12 SC). We experienced some cracking on that layer while skinning up as well. We saw a size 2 slab avalanche in a north facing alpine bowl that we suspected had run sometime during the storm yesterday as the crown and debris were already partially covered. At the end of the day we found some fun sledding in a cutblock as well. We sled cut tested some steeper rolls but didn't have any results beyond some faceshots.
