We saw debris in one path today (1st photo) but didnt have visibility into the start zone to see how it was triggered. Temperatures were quite warm in the late morning at 0C near treeline, but then plummeted suddenly with the incoming storm to -4 and snowing hard. Luckily the winds stayed away though. We dug a pit at 1900m on a southeast facing slope and found a hard icy suncrust (3d photo) buried about 20cm by snowfall from the last couple of days. So far it wasnt reacting much in our tests but with more storm snow in the forecast we suspect this layer may turn into a persistent problem. On the way home the falling snow turned into sleet and then finally rain at around 950m making the snow surface wet and raising the likelyhood of loose wet avalanches at those lower elevations.

Avalanche Conditions
Rapid temperature rise to near zero degrees or wet surface snow.
Snow Conditions
Crusty, Powder.
Weather Conditions
Stormy, Warm.
