Black prince col - a bit scary

Attempted to link black prince col to blacksmith ridge. Pretty much whiteout conditions to the col, with a sun crust about ten cents below fresh snow, with another 30-40 cm to next sun crust. Hand shear produced intermittent results on the persistent slab at 40 cm. Extreme wind at the col. Dropped into black prince col which was extremely wind affected, top 1/5 is down to rock and essentially unskiable from the N. One party member popped a pretty big windslab and had shooting cracks on the N face that was enough to send us back with tail between our legs and boot packed back out to the col. Hand railed back to black prince area in a white out and had good skiing back to Warspite lake but the solar crust is very prevalent and noticeable anywhere remotely S facing.
