Engadine Burn

Road to Engadine was in great condition and only a few cars along the way. Up track was lovely and snow stayed fairly consistent from the base at 1800m to 2200m with more snow filling in the trees as we went up. Dug a pit at 2200m and noted total base was about 120cm with the rain crust around about 70cm and everything below faceted. Didnt get a reaction from our column until we really whacked it after our first few tests where it fractured at the rain crust. Not a ton of snow in the alpine so we weren't overly concerned about overhead and the base seemed pretty solid.
Great turns through the burn all the way down to the car!
