Is it a whiteout or are my goggles fogged?

With the regional high avalanche hazard rating in mind we opted for a conservative trip plan up McBride Peak where we could avoid avalanche terrain almost entirely during our day. We stuck to low angle trees and found some mellow but fun powder turns up there. We dug a quick pit to check on how well the recent storm snow is bonding and found it to still be quite reactive. It will likely need at least a couple more days to stabilize. We saw no signs of avalanches but visibility was pretty murky all day so we didnt get much for views.
