Ursus trees in the storm

We were the first to break trail up Connaught today. 30cm of snow at Rogers centre, to 50cm going up ursus trees. Deep trail breaking. Minimal wind effect on snow the whole way up, minimal wind in general. Calm winds to ca 2200m ie top ursus trees. S1-s2 snow all day. Occasionally small cracking in snow while trail breaking, but even on small steep features, nothing was moving (even on small, steep, south facing rolls, where you could occasionally feel sun crust below the new snow when skiing). No wind slabs encountered. Hand shears didn't slab up. Snow heavy but right side up. We heard one? avalanche (or maybe that was semi trucks crashing 🤔 from the highway) coming from cheops north side at ca 1100, maybe size 2 based on length of noise(couldn't confirm, could not see across valley).
Skiing was good, but as said, snow heavy. Alders still need more snow to fill in for hospital gully exit. Did not see any avy debris on ski out at ca 1330 PST.
