Not quite Christmas

Went for a trip into the Connaught Highway with intentions to ski Christmas Couloir. Turned around about halfway due to hazard from two large groups in the line above us. As we transitioned in a sheltered spot we observed the 1st group ski down as the 2nd party was slightly sheltering, about to boot pack. The 4th member of party #1 skied wide of the main line above party #2 and triggered a small (sz1) slab that caught the group below them, sending one member of party #2 for a short ride. Dug a pit on a SE aspect moraine below the line. Probed HS ~200cm 0-30 Fist 30-50 4F 50-80 1F 80 - 85 Crust (knife) Decomposing fragments under crust 80-100 ECTN 21 down 50 on density change CTM 11 RP 55 CTH 26 RP down 100 on fragments under crust Exited out 8812 with great skiing shared with great company all day! Incredibly busy in the pass today, with the human factor posing what felt like the largest threat by far.
