Flat light made for a shorter day than expected. We managed to find about 30cm of new snow on a North facing aspect riding out towards Shit Lip. This new snow had fallen overnight and was completely covering sled tracks from Saturday. The new snow was very slightly cohesive and felt like dense powder under the skis. I'm guessing it was maybe gently wind loaded also because there was more snow on the slope itself than on the ridge at the top.
Probing with a pole and small hand pit revealed a mid pack that was much more dense (2 finder hard?) and did not seem to have a crust in the upper part.
Light South winds most of the day.
