Taiya West

We rode a couloir on the west side of Taiya today. The day was warm (-7 c at 10:45 and -4 c at 16:30) and sunny. We found decent snow, but it was wind affected. We topped out and dropped in only 20 metres or so from the top of the couloir because the snowpack quickly hollowed out under a slab at that elevation.
Overall, everything is wind hammered right now on all aspects (if you blow up/zoom in on the attached images, you'll see lots of texture). With all the sun and the warm temps today, I suspect that there will likely be a sun crust on all solar aspects tomorrow to boot. Overall, travel is very easy right now, but the ski quality is marginal and will likely continue to be until we get a reset.
