Bonney Glacier
Glacier

The day started out sunny with a mix of clouds. Around 12pm the storm came in and visibility was greatly reduced on the glacier. We decided to ski the moraines and see if it was going to clear up as we skinned back up for a second lap. It cleared up and we were able to follow a skin track set by a group doing their ACMG exam (thanks). We skied up to ~2,450m on the Bonney Glacier. The snow was great and deep. There were a lot of other groups in the area today.
Snow conditions were: Heavy, Powder, Wet. Weather conditions were: Stormy, Sunny, Warm. We rode: Alpine slopes, Open trees. We avoided: Convex slopes, Sunny slopes.
Avalache Conditions: 30cm + of new snow, or significant drifitng, or rain in the last 48 hours. Rapid temperature rise to near zero degrees or wet surface snow.
