Thin (0.5-1cm) glaze of breakable to supportive crust from last night's freezing rain (around 8-10pm) over top of yesterday's 20cm of storm snow. It was noticable on west and northeast aspects between 1000-1300m, and less prevalent under the forest canopy. Sluffing was noticed by 2nd skier where the zipper crust was broken through.
Snow conditions were: Crusty, Powder. Weather conditions were: Cloudy, Foggy, Warm. We rode: Dense trees, Mellow slopes, Open trees. Riding quality was good.
Avalache Conditions: 30cm + of new snow, or significant drifitng, or rain in the last 48 hours.
