Snow conditions were: Heavy, Hard, Deep powder, Wind affected, Powder. Weather conditions were: Windy. We rode: Open trees. We avoided: Alpine slopes.

Avalache Conditions: 30cm + of new snow, or significant drifitng, or rain in the last 48 hours. Whumpfing or drum-like sounds or shooting cracks.

Snowpack

hand sheer w/ no results, Noted density change Fist 0-30,1 F 30-40, 4F 40-50. felt right side up beyond w/ poke snow with pole test (PSWPT) :)

Avalanche

Stepped out of tree line into sub alpine windward slope. Lots of shooting cracks. jumped on an un-supported feature with obvious wind effect. Triggered a soft slab down 30-40 propagated 25 - 30m ran fast and surprisingly far could see powder cloud running down the S main slide path for probably 200++m Sz 2
