<p> hoar layer at about 30cm depth in sheltered alpine on S/ Sw. 130cm snowpack At treeline the same layer exists in the open, with a layer of facets another 5 cm below. Both layers are thick enough to slide fingers into. Shooting cracks observed setting track above 1800m </p>
