<p>AAA Guiding AST 2 Course Day 1 - Ursus Trees/Hospital knob - 2020.01.18 Temp L (-15) Temp H (-10) S -1 all day Little to no wind during the day Starting elevation 1300m - max elevation 2190m, Slight temp inversion Slight wind affect on surface snow - aspect dependent Top 30cm - F Mid snowpack - 4F Lower snowpack - 1F Well settled mid pack with some Basel facets noted We skied 20-35 degree slopes above treeline, 35+ degrees below treeline, great skiing all around. One crust layer noticed down 55cm, 2cm crust layer with 2mm decomposing surface hoar. </p>
