We had great skiing. We toured up South aspects, and skied North and East aspects. Visibility was poor in the alpine. Snow quality was excellent, with the best snow being sheltered areas at treeline.
We observed numerous size 1, loose dry avalanches from extreme terrain. We did not observe any whoomphing, cracking, or wind slabs, and broke trail most of the day.
The weather was overcast, but winds were light, and daytime temperature were mild, much better than recent cold snap.
The exits from the various drainages are still pretty sporty with lots of fallen timber and snags, but in general travel conditions were very good. A supportive, right side up snowpack, without super deep trail breaking.

Weather Report

Great weather. Overcast all day, but much warmer than expected. Temperature was -7 in the late afternoon. Winds were light from the SW, and we did not observe any snow transport from wind. The snow started about 12pm, and continued throughout the afternoon. Tomorrow will be a good day.
Terrain Ridden
