Louise Falls ice

**Used the lakeside trail going in. Was icy the previous day but new snow made it a nice walk. Left via the mid lake tracks and they had sections where the packed crust had broken through giving either uneven walking or a couple inches of slush between the ice and the snow.
**Route was reported as fairly dry on Saturday but by Sunday was wet in places and the hanging ice right side of the cave was running.
**Lower ice was good, The easier groove into the cave right of the main pillar was a downpour, but you can climb featured ice and mushrooms left of the groove (below the pillar) to stay dry.
**From the cave to the right of the, pillar, gaining the fromt was aided by some ledgy mushrooms, the, pillar itself had lots of hooking. The final stretch seemed easier than some years.
**Snow amounts on the overhead slope and on the walk off seemed less than usual. The cliff and trees above the overhead slope did have some loaded snow bombs, and while the slope may not have much snow yet, it does feed directly down onto the easiest line of ascent. Something to keep in mind. It didn't feel like its currently a huge concern but new storm deposits may change the situation.
**No avalanche signs, or snow transport noted. Winds were fairly light. There was a low lying mist across the lake as we left making it feel cooler than on the climb..
**Perhaps the biggest hazard is the hanging ice around the cave. The right pillar previously collapsed and two new pillars are currently building without touching down. Not that the main pillar is mostly closed off behind so you will gain the pillar from whichever side you go up into the cave rather than walking behind to the other side.
