Alpine and subalpine snow was surprisingly good quality due to a cool breeze, on amellow west facing run at 1:30 with a 10° air temp. 10cm of recent snow (dry)on a solid supportive snowpack. Concave pockets getting wet/sticky with intense sun. No signs of cornice failure/ pinwheels or recent avalanche activity on the aspects of concern the last few weeks. Treeline and below was a mixed bag of sporty refrozen snow/surface
