Everyone and their brother (plus a dog) was on Hero’s today and seemed pretty much any line in the area got skied (dogs leg, path next to Dogs leg, the path next to the path, purple, black prince). Had to be 30+ folks up Hero’s. Skiing down hero’s side was ok, pretty tracked out but some fresh turns found but area desperately needs a refresh. Uptrack was pretty icy in spots but didn’t need crampons, not sure how it was later in the day. Luge track out was quite the spicy number by the end of the day. Anything south/southeast facing was very crusty and once below 2000m freeze thaw was prevalent everywhere. North and northeast were holding solid if not heavy (but very fast) snow No signs of instability, lots of sluffs in steep terrain on PrairieView and lots of evidence of cornice fall and small point releases on Mt. smith dorrien outlier.

Snow conditions were: Heavy, Powder. Weather conditions were: Warm, Windy. We rode: Alpine slopes, Steep slopes. We avoided: Sunny slopes. Riding quality was good.
