Little Crowfoot

Skied Little Crowfoot. The wicked wind has had her way with the alpine. Windward slopes are scoured to bare rock & the glacier was a mess of hammered sastrugi on gear (see photo 1). Ski pen 0. Foot pen 0. Thick, supportive crust on all aspects. Sheltered Northerly slopes near treeline held good snow, but BTL often boasted a breakable melt freeze crust. Fast travel overall. Ski crampons are a critical asset. No natural activity observed.
