Double Double

Up to 15cm of recent storm snow made for good riding in The Onion today. The mid February rain crust was observed down 30 to 60cm and produced a hard extended column test. The pencil slab above was surprisingly well bonded to the crust but could be concerning in steep unsupported terrain. Moderate southeast winds kept us in the treeline area.
