Windslabs on North facing aspects ~ @9500-9700ft Stomped near ridge lines and received some shooting cracks that appeared to be breaking Down @30cm interface. Slab around 70cm thick HS 95-100 cm 18 degree F at trailhead midday. Observed large surface hoar crystals in openings, noted the loud audible noise of surface hoar against my skis while skinning across meadows. Cool calm day with blue sky turning to light overcast towards end of day. Saw cool parhelion (sun dog) on my way up the ridge!
