Quick report
We did not experience any cracking, collapsing, or whumpfing. We did not encounter any wind slab but did see some evidence of wind transport. The storm snow in this area is not consolidated enough (yet) where we observed to create a slab problem, but we expect danger to increase with continued precipitation and consolidation. Recent very small avalanches of new storm snow seen along Highway 75 near Smiley Creek (R1 D1) but no signs of instability during our day out on Tweener Ridge.

Snowpack
Multiple CT test resulted in fractures under 10 taps that were mostly resistance planar (RP), with one getting closer to sudden planar (SP) at the new snow - near surface facet or melt freeze crust interface ECT tests did not result in propagation. At 1430, recorded specifically: CT2 RP ↓ 30 cm, ECTN3 ↓ 30 cm. Avalanche
Recent very small avalanches of new storm snow seen along Highway 75 near Smiley Creek (R1 D1)
