Their where a hundred tracks visible in the Bagley Lake basin from that days touring crowd, with no triggered releases, besides small slough. My assessment is that the early season conditions made slopes steeper. This incident was the result of an overnight wind deposited slab that released due to the party riding very steep terrain.
Avalanche
North facing steep slope of table mountain named little Alaska. Elevation 5000’, on Saturday, 27th 2025. My partner and I observed an associated party of three trigger an avalanche 75 feet wide , a thousand feet long , four inches deep. First skier descended without triggering. Second snowboarder trigger, tried riding out, but was overcome by the slide, and was thrown off a small cliff before being partially buried. Snowboarder was able to quickly free himself and join his party.
