Strong winds above 5500' with active wind loading. Winds came from the SW that tapered off in the afternoon. The softer slabs on test slopes seemed to not show signs of instabilities. As soon as we found these slabs starting to stiffen we found a much more active snowpack, with long shooting cracks that triggered with ease.

Snowpack
Very shallow and variable through our tour especially as we gained elevation and approached more exposed terrain. At 5900' in Green Apple creek we dug a pit with a total snow height of 56 cm. Snowpack was right side up and was a mix of rounded grains and decomposing precipitation particles. 1/1, 12/24 crusts were quite saturated. The 1/1 crust had a 1F and 12/24 crust at 4F. No results on CT or ECT.
