Weather was cold, light ridge top winds but calm otherwise. Ski pen was boot top and boot pen was roughly waist deep. Experienced D1 stuff on northerly aspect and storm snow felt weird and punchy. Experienced a large whoomph at 5000’ on a northerly aspect in the bottom of a boulder field. Dug and found 1 cm hoar feathers underneath a 1cm crust, 130 cm down. Snow above this crust had some storm interfaces. HS 330 cm. Moved to a southerly aspect, experienced D0.5-1 sluff and snow felt warmer and slabbier at elevations below 5000’. Dug again at 5000’ and found storm interfacing through the top 70 cm and moist melt freeze grains below down to a total depth of 180 cm. Passed an Old crown at 4500’ at the top of a drainage on the ski out (southerly aspect). Saw a crown in Wenatchee bowl on the walk up, and a crown in Moonlight bowl on the drive down.
