From Skyline Bowl, we skinned up to Tye Peak via its south ridge. Near the ridge, there were signs of this week’s significant east wind and even some isolated wind deposited snow on the ridge and just east of the ridge. We observed snow cracking in 2 spots along the ridge where the slab was <1in deep. In many spots along the ridge, there was a firm, wind scoured surface. 100ft below the ridge, there were none of these signs of wind effect & transport, and the snow was soft and deep.
