With minimal hazard, wanted to travel up a slope I’ve only skied down (in very good stability) to assess potential future runs and see how our moist snowpack is progressing. Travel was challenging on the first half of climb up south side with minimal snowpack. Surprisingly, I did not see any signs of large avalanches from recent AR but the slope lost a lot of snow. Bare ground on parts of south slopes even as high as 4000’. Hs 185cm @4800’ S aspect (in open glades) Hs 265cm @4800’ N aspect (in open glades) Hn of 0-4” (0-10cm) pasted onto moist interface well with no results in active tests. Moist snowpack below new snow is consolidating well with minimal ski pen. Boot pen 4-12” (10-30cm). Skiing was decent on north slopes from 5000-4200’ then sticky below. Coverage on the north slopes of Catherine all the way to Mill Creek is in great shape. Many small rollerballs on south side initiated from warm rocks on steep slopes and tree bombs from moderate wind gusts. Isolated rollerballs on north aspects. No entrainment from rollerballs to bigger slides

Light showers throughout the day. Mostly overcast with filtered sunshine affecting south aspects. Light winds from south with moderate gusts.
Snowpack
Thin at lower elevations and steep south aspects. New snow ranged from 1” at 3800’ to 4” at 5000’ over a consolidating moist snowpack.
