Quick report
Good stability with moderate failures in compression in the upper snow pack below rain crust in the upper foot, but lack of Propagation in an extended column test. We did not observe any instabilities other than wind slabs forming on the surface of the snow pack south and south east winds upward of 30mph were visibly loading north and west aspects to where we were cautious of entering wind loaded terrain . We snomobiled through some good wind drifts on the ridge north of Tamarack resort, and did not experience any cracking in the snow surface…slabs were just starting to form mid-day with periods of heavy snowfall. Did not observe any instability other than active wind transporting snow
