Quick report

Numerous wet loose avalanches occurred in the last 24-48h. Most action was in the Boulder Mountains and the Northern Sawtooths near Heyburn and Williams Peak. Did not observe any slab avalanches.

Observed numerous D1 and a few D2 wet loose avalanches. See below for more details.

Snowpack

My goal today was to get a sense of the distribution of wet loose and wet slab avalanches over the past 24h.

Avalanches observed were wet loose on SE-S-SW-W. Some wet loose occured on E-NE facing slopes in the Sawtooths at middle elevations. Hard to tell the exact timing on these, but assuming in the past 48h.

No wet slabs observed.
No dry slabs observed (wind/ persistent).
