Temp. 10 degrees F. Light winds from the NW. New/recent snow of 5cm. Snow available to transport ~10cm. Solar warming increased temps at higher elevations. Pit was dug at elevation of 8450, West facing slope.

2-3cm of fresh snow on SW facing slope increasing to ~5cm on West facing slope where we dug a pit for observation @ elevation of 8450. Total snowpack @ pit of 135cm to ground.
