On our approach we observed wind deposited snow 2-6” deep in isolated patches. The snow did not seem to react strongly or propagate. Winds increased during our climb and by our descent (2pm) the snow had become slabby and thicker. We stuck to crust after triggering the avalanches. We poked a bit at slabs as we passed and saw high reaction and propagation.

We triggered two avalanches (me one my partner the other) at approximately 9600 ft on a SE aspect. I was caught in mine for a few seconds before bear crawling out of it. The slides were both about 10” deep, 15’ wide, and ran slowly for 30’
