Quick report

Sunny and very warm by 10 am. Thin breakable crust on S aspects but the new snow from the weekend (6-8 inches) was preserved on all other aspects above ~5000 ft. N aspects stayed surprisingly chilly all day and snow stayed cold and dry on these aspects all day. We felt almost no wind whatsoever, even on ridgelines, and didn’t observe any evidence of recent wind transport since this weekend. The quality of skiing was very good on pretty much all aspects but S aspects. Clouds rolled in around 2pm which limited solar warming on more westerly slopes. We saw lots of roller balls but only a few small wet slides.

Avalanche

Small natural wet loose slides originating in rocky cliffs on a S aspect. The snow depth was very thin on these aspects.
